load_sample_portfolio

Load one of PortfolioPulse’s bundled sample investor portfolios (moderate / aggressive / conservative). Returns the normalized holdings and profile so a client can quickly demo the rest of the tools.

portfolio_summary

Compute a unified summary of an investor portfolio: total value, invested cost, unrealized P/L, sector allocation, top holdings by weight, and concentration alerts. Pass either a bundled "profile" or inline "holdings".

relevant_news

Fetch and rank financial news relevant to the investor’s held securities and sector exposures, with a plain-language reason explaining why each item matters. This is PortfolioPulse’s key differentiator vs. a generic finance feed: it filters noise down to what affects THIS portfolio.

risk_check

Evaluate portfolio diversification, single-stock & sector concentration, equity-vs-profile mismatch, and breadth, using transparent rule-based checks. Returns a 0–100 risk health score (higher = healthier), a risk level, and human-readable flags. Pass either a bundled "profile" or inline "holdings".

rebalance_suggestion

Generate educational rebalancing suggestions that improve diversification and align portfolio exposures with the investor’s risk profile. Maps the findings from a risk_check into concrete, actionable guidance. Not investment advice — for education only.

regulatory_alerts

Surface curated regulatory and policy updates (SEBI / RBI / Ministry of Finance) relevant to the investor’s portfolio sectors and asset exposures. Each alert is annotated with why it applies to THIS portfolio.
